Pete Wentz explains baby’s name
When Ashlee Simpson gave birth to Bronx Mowgli last Thursday, one of the first things that people probably asked was, “why that name?”.
Well Pete Wentz, Ashlee’s husband and Bronx’ father was more than willing to explain as to why they gave such name to their first born.
On an interview with Ryan Seacrest’s radio show last Tuesday (November 25), the Fall Out Boy bassist shared that his son’s middle name, Mowgli had some sort of romantic reason behind it.
“The Jungle Book was something that me and Ashlee bonded over. It’s a cool name,” tells Pete referring to the rambunctious boy in the Disney cartoon classic.
But while the baby’s middle name is no mystery anymore, the reason behind their baby’s first name is something that Pete still refused to reveal, with him just saying, “We came up with the idea Bronx. We’ve been throwing [ideas] back and forth a while. It’s kind of cool to just leave the narrative what it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever. And you’re like, you know what: I don’t think anyone really has the real story.”
Hmmmm… could that be that they (with Ashlee) just wanted their son to have BMW as his initials?!
“No, no, no, it definitely is his name, but I don’t think anybody knows what the real story is of why or how,” Pete answers Ryan’s joking about to his son’s initials.
Oh well we can always give our guesses, right?! We all just have to be happy that Ashlee and Bronx are healthy and Pete is obviously proud to be a new dad.
