Pete Wentz Addresses FOB Fallout Rumor
Pete Wentz finally breaks his silence on the stir that he caused accidentally-on purpose, when he Tweeted that the band would not be making any new albums for a while. This put Fall Out Boy fans (and there are a considerable number) into a slight panic. Now, he insists that there wil be no fall out happening with the Fall Out Boys.
He says, “I think I fuelled that rumor accidentally. I think that when someone asked me if we were working on any new Fall Out Boy songs, I said, ‘No, not right now.’”
“We’re working on getting the Blink-182 tour. Then we’ll see where we’re standing,” he adds.
According to Pete, the band enjoys taking time “to breathe” between albums, but as of now, they have no definite plans on when to start working on their next one.
“We don’t make albums for the sake of making them. So, when the time is right, I’m sure we will,” he added to MTV News.
In spite the minor disruption he may have caused by saying the band wasn’t working on new music, Pete said to MTV when the caught him in the filming of their new music video for What A Catch, Donnie, that he doesn’t think that there’s an endless demand for FOB. “I don’t know that the world has to be all Fall Out Boy, all the time. When I see stuff like that with other bands, it sort of drives me crazy.”
Oh Pete, it’s a good thing when the world can’t get enough of you. It gets bad when they think that you aren’t worth scratch, so you need to be thankful and not be driven crazy.
