An issue-slash-rumor about the break-up that happened between Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson has had Hollywood in a buzz. And what’s that other humming that we here along with the buzz? Oh, just that Jessica’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, is single too. Great timing, right? Or maybe it’s just coincidence? Oh, well.

Anyway, Nick’s BFF, Matt Leinart, said that just because the two stars found themselves suddenly single, it doesn’t mean that they’ll get back together.

“I didn’t even know she was single,” said Matt, the footballer said at the Verizon Wireless Matt Leinart Foundation benefit at Lucky Strike. “That was a long time ago; they’ve grown up. It’s in the past for a reason.” Okaaaayyyy. Someone sounds negative.

However, Melissa Rycroft, best remembered after she won the last rose from The Bachelor with Jason Mesnick, is all about giving a second chance.

“Hey, I gave it another shot with my ex—you never know,” the newly engaged gal told E! Melissa is marrying Tye Strickland, whom she previously dated before competing on The Bachelor and then breaking up with him.

The Jessica-Tony break-up was still the topic at the ESPY week at the Sports Dream Celebrity Poker and Pool Party at the Playboy Mansion on Monday.

“I do think the nature of celebrity complicates relationships,” Hugh Hefner said, “but it depends on the individual.”

Hawthorne star and Alias alum Michael Vartan says, “I’m sorry it’s over but I hope they’re still friends.”

Hmmmm…many voices, but none of them coming from Jess and Tony themselves, or at least from sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Oh well, let’s just wait and see of this is true or not.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is excited and exhilaratingly happy with her work with CW revamp of popular ‘90s show, Melrose Place.

However, the big bosses behind the powers-that-be in CW are keeping the plot and story so tightly wrapped that they don’t even let their actors and actresses know about it.Ash has no idea what sort of mischief, toruble, and scandal her character, Violet, would go through because the show’s producers will not read her read future scripts.

The singer/actress and also wife to Pete Wentz, and mommy to Bronx Mowgli, is counting the days until the much-awaited show airs in US television on September 9. until then, she’ll have to wait like the rest of us, on what her character’s fate will be.

Anyways, she disclosed to MTV.com, “I play the girl that’s straight-off-the-bus. It’s exciting because we don’t get to see the next episode. We don’t get to read the scripts until we’re actually about to shoot it, and everyone is dying to know what’s going to happen to their characters, so it’s fun. It’ll be exciting to play that arc.”

And the 24 year old isn’t ruling out a guest appearance from her husband, Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz: “He hangs with me, but we don’t read lines. I’m sure he would (make a cameo) if I asked him to!”

Wow! A Pete Wentz cameo…wonder what character they’ll let them play? Would Ash allow him to play someone else’s bad-boy boyfriend? Oh well, something else to look forward to.

Oh no. Please don’t.

Not that I have anything against Ashlee Simpson, I actually like her, but please, let her not do a Michael Jackson cover album!

Rumor has it that papa and manager, Joe Simpson has taken a fancy to letting his younger daughter record an entire album of the King of Pop’s songs. Well, Ash has a good voice (not the best, sorry to say, but good) and she can dance (I think), but still, it’s the Michael Jackson we’re talking about here. I doubt that there’s any singer/ dancer out there who would be bold enough to do an MJ cover album this soon after his death, when adoring fans are still mourning him.

But luckily, we can breath a sigh of relief because Ash has laid the rumor to rest when she Tweeted: “Haha jeez. I loved M.J. enough 2 never to in my wildest dreams think of doing a tribute album. R.I.P. A legend. Enough with the goofy stories!” Whew!

Ashlee’s publicist, Rhett Usry makes it more formal by telling Entertainment Weekly that, “The [rumors] are completely not true…Honestly I don’t know where they’re from. This completely fabricated story is very disrespectful to Michael Jackson at a time like this, regardless of whose name you’re putting it to. Furthermore, she’s in the middle of shooting Melrose Place.”

Good. I don’t think I’m ready to here someone else sing Billy Jean or Thriller other than the original Michael Jackson anytime soon. And I don’t think anyone else is ready too. Maybe a few years from now? Try 10 – 20 years.

As I was browsing the net, intending to gather pictures and what-not for Jessica Simpson’s Barbie-and-Ken-themed 29th birthday party, another headline shocked me out of my stupor: Tony Romo allegedly dumped Jess the night before the party! How heartless could the guy get (assuming that this is true, of course).

Today, is the pop-turned-country singer/ actress’s 29th birthday! Wow! Who would have known that a cute, little baby girl who was born 29 years ago, would become one of the country’s biggest stars around (although critics say that this is more rightly attributed to her figure and pretty face than to her acting and singing prowess)?

Anyway, ever wonder what Jessica Simpson’s theme for her birthday bash would be? C’mon! Make a guess…

It’s a Barbie-and-Ken luau! And no, this birthday is not for any of her nieces or younger wards. It’s really for her. Well, I guess there’s nothing too weird about this, I mean, lots of grown-up celebrities adore Hello Kitty and Tweetie, so I guess there’s nothing really wrong about a Barnie-and-Ken theme.

Hmmmm, which Barbie should Jessica dress up as? Some blogs and articles suggest that it would be great and quite fitting for Jess to go as Comeback Barbie. Well, considering that she has had more publicity this year that the past 2 years combined, this would be really legit and appropriate for her. After dealing with harsh criticisms about her weight, she has put her positive attitude into creating the media mishaps into a money-making activity, what with her successful opening stints for Rascall Flatts, singing the National Anthem for Tiger Woods’s golf tournament, and even whipping up a reality TV show!

But what does a Comeback Barbie look like? Oh well, we’ll just have to wait for pictures of the party to come out before we can see for ourselves. But I do expect a lot of pink and frills and whatnot for decorations. It just won’t be Barbie-themed without the pink, don’t you think so?

Jessica Simpson apparently sells more magazines that Sarah Palin.

With her ample cleavage and lots of skin, Jess managed to sell more copies of Vanity Fair, than the recently-resigned ex-governor of Alaska. What’s the proof, you ask? Well, the magazine recently crunched out a few numbers, provided by MediaMemo of Peter Kafka.

I think this just proves that Hollywood and pop culture would beat out politics anytime. But to be fair, I do think that in her own way, Sarah Palin has become a pop culture icon too. I mean, would she be mentioned in Eminem’s We Made You rap and video, if she weren’t? Anyway, another proof of that is that Michael Jackson’s death has more media coverage than her resignation as governor. And the reaction to the King of Pop’s untimely death is overwhelming, while reactions to her unprecedented move ranged from outrageous to “Is she crazy?!” Oh well.

Anyway, Jessica’s recent stint in Vanity Fair has sold lots of copies, while Miley Cyrus’s nearly-topless pictures got the magazine’s site 18 million visits in just two days. Jessica’s cover and page story gained the mag’s web site with 5.5 million page views over a range of two days. Ex-governor Palin’s announcement however, only attracted under two million page views since Friday, the date of her announcement, to today.

Wow! Isn’t Tony Romo one lucky guy or what?!

The pro-football player was invited by none other than the great golfer, Tiger Woods. I bet a lot of golf enthusiasts would have wanted to be in Washington DC for Tiger Woods’s golf tournament.

But what got me thinking was how some Cowboys fans got mad because of Tony’s attendance on the said event. Some say that he should just practice football, what was he thinking, doesn’t he want to improve his game?

Well, folks, as hard as it is to comprehend, but Tony is a good football player. He, along with the rest of the team, have been up at 5AM for a five-mile jog, stepped in the gym more times than should be allowed, threw passes to reserves blindfolded, and bench-pressed several Volkswagen, just for the sake of keeping in shae an staying in their game.

But why do people harp on Tony Romo? Well, I guess it’s partly because he has a famous celebrity for his girlfriend, Jessica Simpson. I mean, all the other famous football players have girlfriends and wives, but none of them get written up because fans feel that their other halves are making them distracted from the game.

Another is because he’s really not bad at playing golf. His score is good, meaning that he has been working a bit on his golf skills. But this just shows his natural drive and talent for athletics and golfs. Hey, he does spend time with Papa Joe Simpson on the golf course for a couple of times, right? And isn’t the man entitled to some relief from the overly physical football?

All of the Cowboys now and over the past 50 years have had interests other than football. It’s just that Tony’s outside interests draw a lot of attention. When you can only get two shots from Tiger Woods and have Jessica Simpson as a forecaddie, you get noticed too. Unfortunately, you also get written up and criticized over it.

After literally hawking her reality TV show, The Price of Beauty, singer/ actress Jessica Simpson can finally say that she has found a home.

VH1 will air the reality show/ documentary, which will follow Jessica around the world as she investigates how different countries, cultures, and people find beauty and why. Personally, I would like to see Jessica try out some of a country’s weird ways to achieve beauty. But that’s just me.

Anyways, when asked about her show, Jessica made a statement of Monday saying that she has always believed that beauty comes from within and that confidence is what makes a woman beautiful. “But I know how much pressure some women put on themselves to look perfect,” she said to Us Weekly.

“I am really looking forward to discovering how beauty is perceived in different cultures and participating in some of the crazy things people do to feel beautiful,” she continued.

The question remains: will Jessica indulge in the unusual beauty regimens that different cultures do to be found attractive?

Would she dare to get scars cut into her stomach, as women do to attract men in southern Ethiopia? Or get her lips or chin tattooed, a beauty ritual among women of Polynesian descent?

And she would have to put on a lot more weight than that to pass for a catch in Mauritania, where roundness is the height of desirability. She’ll have to put more than “mom” jeans to be attractive there, I think.

Filming on the new show is set to begin mid-July.

Oooohhh….catfight! And involving very large cats indeed! Perez Hilton, Pete Wentz, and Ashlee Simpson, and more celebs were having a very public fight on Tweeter the day of Michael Jackson’s death (a very sad moment for me, personally. My dad loved MJ and made me listen to his songs. Condolence to the King of Pop’s family and his legion of fans.).

As I was about to Tweet on MJ’s death, I noticed that Pete Wentz had Tweeted a lot during the past few minutes. As a blogger of the Simpsons and in familial connection, Pete Wentz, I had followed the couple on Twitter. I had to retrace tens of Tweets before I found out the cause of the couple’s outraged comments: Perez Hilton.

I think that it was really insensitive of Perez to Tweet what he first tweeted regarding the then-rumors of MJ’s death. Because, even though he was far from perfect, no one could deny that he has touched the very essence of this generation’s musical sensibilities, even I was outraged at his original Tweet which said, “”We are dubious!! Jacko pulled a similar stunt when he was getting ready for his big HBO special in ‘95 when he ‘collapsed’ at rehearsal!! He was dragging his heels on that just like his upcoming 50 date London residency at the 02 Arena, of which he already postponed the first few dates!!!”

“Either he’s lying or making himself sick, but we’re curious to see if he’s able to go on!!! Get your money back, ticket holders!!!!”

It even showed a picture of Jacko with the header, “Heart attack or cold feet.” Seriously Perez, could you be any more crass and unfeeling?

For the past few months, we have seen Jessica Simpson’s weight move up and down, faster than a yo-yo. But while her “fat” image has made headlines for quite some time, a few of us could ever forget the figure she cut out in Dukes of Hazard as the sexily gorgeous, Daisy Duke.

But Jess’s trainer dishes out that Jess is not a fan of bending and bouncing to tone that trademark tush.

“Jessica really hates squats and jumping — any type of jumping she’s not on board with,” says her longtime trainer Mike Alexander, who is the man responsible for Jess’s Daisy Duke, revealed to Pop Tarts. “But she loves reverse lunges because it really isolates her glutes and her hamstrings.”

So ladies, how can you follow in her footsteps to go from flab to fab in just a few weeks?

“Squats and lunges are great butt exercises because you can use your own body weight and do several varieties of them. It’s the one thing that clients don’t enjoy because it’s not easy when done right, you’re working all the muscles in your legs which is far away from your heart so your heart is pumping like crazy so it elevates your heart rate and takes it out of you but its worth it in the end,” Alexander advised. “Cardio is also really important when working on a short time frame and don’t focus too much on mid-section. Women tend to do this because its showing in a bikini but then neglect other parts which are just as important aesthetically-speaking. If you work your stomach too much you can build up the muscles in your abdominals and it can then appear dissented.”

When life hands you lemons, you make lemonade. That’s how we’re supposed to see trials and hardships as, lemons to make the most of and make lemonade with. So when the entire media lashed at Jessica Simpson for gaining a few extra pounds, she made lemonade out of the whole situation and managed to turn it into a money-making event.

Jessica Simpson is perhaps best known for her “adorable” ditzy blonde attitude, made apparent in her reality show with ex-husband, Nich Lachley, Newlyweds. However, she is also known for her slim, drop-dead gorgeous body, as apparent in her movie, The Dukes of Hazard.

So when Jessica showed up in the most-blogged about “OOPS” and “No-No” moment in fashion history (a pair of high-waist jeans and leopard print belt), the media went into a frenzy on how she looked so “fat” in it.

“Clearly, since we saw her last, she slayed that dragon named dignity and just spooned frosting into her mouth full time,” wrote the blog “What Would Tyler Durden Do?” at the time. “Honest to God, her appearance couldn’t have been any more shocking unless she had grown glow-in-the-dark tentacles.”

Bad publicity? No, there’s no such thing as that. Really, when Jess’s critics pulled out their claws, they also threw her more publicity than she’d seen in years.

And while Jess didn’t specifically address the weight debacle that played into her scoring her new job, Jeff Olde, the executive vice president of VH1’s original programming and production, made the connection clear.

“Perhaps more than any other pop culture figure on the radar today, Jessica Simpson has been the target of our obsession with beauty on both sides of the equation,” the executive said in a statement to reporters. “She is a woman who can set trends and create firestorms with a single photo.”

Okies, if you missed the furor, you can go back to the article before this. Right, so after Perez Hilton Tweeted the message that may very well be the nail on his online-reputation coffin, outraged celebrities rushed to defend Michael Jackson and criticize Perez for his harsh statements.

But what shocked me was that Perez did a total 180 degree do over and erased his previous statements, and replaced it with, “To the paparazzi and mainstream media, PLEASE give the Jackson family space. Please. We DO NOT need to see pictures or videos of them now!”

Wow. Talk about recanting change of heart. I really don’t think that another celeb had a change of heart as quickly as Perez did. But, the damage had already be done. Here are a few Tweets that I was privileged enough to read that I would also like to share with you:

Pete Wentz: “PerezHilton u can’t make ur life tearing someone apart, who is a human being, and then flip on a dime and say respect and mourn him.”

Pete Wentz: “essentially that’s what you do. Recanting after someone passes doesn’t mean shit in my book. I have no beef. But mj was a legend.”

To which Perez retorted with; I’m not recanting. He was FAR from a perfect person. EVERYONE can acknowledge that.

To which a few more celebrities got outraged over:

Ash Simpson-Wentz: perezhilton - wouldn’t it be nice to live in a judgment free world. Life is short. I know u got a heart there somewhere. Decide what side ur on.

John Mayer, also in a long-time Tweeter fight with Perez Hilton also chimed in, taking the couple’s side.

Perez then replied with:

Perez Hilton: “You and Ashlee and John must really think I’m a monster. I’m not trying to change your opinions. Nor do I care to. But if someone dies, I’m not gonna fucking celebrate that! Even ‘monsters’ have feelings.”

Pete Wentz: “so ur saying u don’t know him as a person but say he was far from a perfect person. That’s the disconnect I’m talking about,”

Perez Hilton: “He WAS. This man was accused of being inappropriate with children MULTIPLE times!”

Oh Perez, you should’ve just said “sorry” and then stopped Tweeting on that day all together to not add more fuel to the fire. Whose side are you on in this Tweeter War?

Three of the hottest ladies ion country music posted in a sizzling cover for Shape magazine. And somehow, in the course of the interview, Jessica Simpson’s name gets dragged in.

Shape asks the country-singing trio about their fellow country singer, Jessica Simpson’s infamous dance with the tabloids over her weight. Here’s what they said:

LeAnn says: I think it’s just sad for someone to be picked on like that for gaining a few pounds here or there. Women’s bodies come in all shapes and sizes. Look at the three of us: We have completely different bodies, which is a good thing. Wouldn’t it be bad if we all looked the same?

Martina says: I agree with LeAnn. Why focus on that? Jessica got singled out, which isn’t fair. What’s upsetting is that when you look through those tabloid magazines, all they write about is who wore what best or what’s wrong with their hair or makeup. It’s constant judging.

Julianne says: And often what’s written just isn’t true. One magazine recently reported that I drink only orange juice for my carbs. I want to clear that up right now. If I did that, it would kill me. I don’t want anyone to read that and believe it.

LeAnn says and advices: I’ve been in the tabloids recently too, and it’s been really hard for me [they reported she was romantically linked to her married Northern Lights co-star, Eddie Cibrian]. I’ve been in the public eye since I was 14, so I have a tough skin. It’s fine dragging me through the mud, but don’t drag my loved ones through it. They’re my family, and it hurts them. All I’ll say is, I know what’s in my heart and what’s true.

Julianne advices: The rumors are always flying around and can be so cruel. You have to stay true to yourself.

Tony Romo may be quite the charmer on and off the field, but I think that he may need to work on his game when it comes to dates with his girlfriend, singer/actress, Jessica Simpson.

The busy Dallas Cowboys quarterback talked with Entertainment Tonight about life with Jess, pregnancy rumors, and the perfect date night.

So first up, what can he say about the pregnancy rumors that have been hounding the couple since late last year? “None that I can think of,” laughs Tony, adding, “but I’m sure you guys’ll tell me something new soon enough.” Uh-huh. So he’s actually waiting for the media to tell him about any news of pregnancy? Why not ask a more reliable source, Tony? You can ask, say, Jess, for example.

Moving on, the star athlete also talked about his dream date night with Jess. And that is…drumroll please… “A little bit to eat and probably watch a football game!”

Yeah. That’s it. Oh well, considering he’s a guy and all. But still, a football game? Seriously?

But hey, before you get discouraged by the guy’s lack of creativity, let’s hear him out.

“It’s exciting for both of us because I found someone I get to hang with,” he explains, “and she really embraces the game and really wants to see our team do well, and it’s great to have someone like that.”

For those not in the know, Tony is the face of Starter, a high quality sports performance gear at an affordable price sold exclusively at Walmart. But he’s not going full-time into modeling just yet.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be a model; I don’t have any ‘Zoolander’ poses,” says a self-effacing Tony.

“But we’ll definitely get out here and have some fun with the Starter stuff. As an athlete you know you want to feel comfortable when you’re moving around, and have stuff on you that feels natural, and they do a really good job.”

Jessica Simpson is launching a new scent! After the successful launch of her first perfume, Fancy, last year, the pop-turned-country singer is setting her eyes on releasing another perfume this year.

And this is not just any scent. It is inspired by none other than Jessica’s beau, Dallas Cowboys’ quarterback, Tony Romo.

“It is a fresh, new expression of Jessica’s lifestyle,” Fox News quoted Vince Camuto, CEO of the Camuto Group. This is the same group that develops and designs the Jessica Simpson collection.

Apparently, Mr. Camuto, the CEO, has seen that the singer is “loved and in love”, and so, we may expect a sweet and flirty fragrance from this new scent.

“Tony brings out the best in Jessica,” said a source. Well, yeah, that’s what boyfriends tend to do. Especially when they’re as hot as Tony Romo.

“She is over caring about what everyone thinks,” the source added. Which is really a good thing, because if she lets the things that the media and haters affect her, then ultimately, she will be on the losing side. Personally, I’m glad that Jess has made it out of the whole “fat” issue, stronger and more beautiful than ever.

Anyways, the 28-year-old blonde beauty collaborated with a team of professional perfumers for a “timeless, romantic fragrance of falling in love.” She wanted a sensual floral that exudes her own flirtatious charm. Oooohh…what do you think girls? Would you want to buy her new scent?

I personally don’t fancy (pun intended) floral scents that much. But who knows? Maybe her new perfume will be a hit with women who want romance back in their lives. Go Jess!
