The plot thickens…

There has emerged another angle in the Jessica Simpson-Tony Romo split. A new name has emerged in the event. Who? John Mayer! Jessica’s ex-boyfriend.

Tony is assumed to have broken-up with Jessica on the eve of her 29th birthday after discovering text messages from her ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.

An unnamed source said, “They were hanging out and he picked up her phone and she got defensive about it. Tony found messages from John and went ballistic.”

Oooohhhh…what do you guys think? Personally, I think that this is just a rumor with little truth in it. The same as there was little truth to the rumor when they said that she and Nick Lachey, her ex-husband, have been exchanging long phone calls.

“She feels she’s being judged by the world and opts to hide out at home, the family feels bad for Jessica. They worry for her a lot,” the New York Daily News quoted a source as saying, regarding Jessica’s rumored depression over the break-up.

But I guess that there is a grain of truth behind the fact that her family is worried about her in these days preceding her heartbreak. It seems that the Simpson clan had previously worried about younger Ashlee more than they did about Jess. But the tables have now turned, because Ash is married to rocker, Pete Wentz, and the couple are enjoying their little boy, Bronx Mowgli.

“The family used to have such faith in [Jessica] and they worried about Ashlee. Now they are fully confident in Ashlee’s choices and they worry most of their days about Jessica. It seems she just can’t catch a break,” says a Simpson family friend.

Another source claims that Tony has a perfect mold of a perfect girlfriend, and he did not count on the insecurities that come along with Jess being a Hollywood star.

“He wanted this perfect mould of the perfect football girlfriend. People don’t realise that Jessica has been worn down by Hollywood. She has insecurities and inner demons that she struggles with. She’s not some upbeat blond cheerleader that people want her to be,” another source told People magazine.
