Miss USA Contestants to Wear Jessica Simpson
Wow! Jessica Simpson is surely making waves in the designer’s world.
Her bikinis will be worn by no less than the Miss USA contestants. The hopefuls will be donning the white and gold skimpy bikinis, which costs $104 a piece. They will be worn during the swimsuit portion of the Miss USA pageant on Sunday. They also showcased her bright green string bikinis, which costs $88 each, during a pre-pageant photo shoot in Las Vegas.
The Jessica Simpson collection, including the bikini designs, which debuted 2 years ago, are this year’s official sponsor for the pageant, replacing Syrup Swimwear, which gave the contestants their suits for the past two years.
After the airing of the pageant on US TV station on Sunday, the suits will be up for grabs at JessicaSimsponCollection.com. Currently, the designs are not available, to give way to the pageant.
When asked why Miss Universe decided to feature Jessica’s clothing line two years after it first went on sale, publicist Lark-Marie Anton told the New York Daily News newspaper: “Why not? They’re fabulous swimsuits.”
And indeed they are! Jess’s line also includes footwear, bags, jewelry, accessories, and fragrances.
This latest improvement might be a big help to Jess as she struggles with her music career after leaving her country music label. One can’t help but question where Jess will go now. Will she continue with her country music? Or will she decide to back to pop, an arena where she is already known? Or will she stop making music all together? Well anyway, it cannot be doubted that the girl has an eye for fashion and designing.
When she was criticized for her weight gain a few weeks back, the singer cum actress cum designer said that she will be designing a collection for curvy women.
“I want to create clothes that flatter every figure. I know how a dress can make you feel so frumpy. I promise mine won’t. I’ve been judged a lot in my life. By now I know what works if you’re curvy,” she was quoted at saying.
