Jessica Simpson Says Divorcing Nick Lachey Worst Mistake of Her Life

Nick Lachey has been very busy of late. The hunky singer has been in damage control mode since photos of Vanessa Minnillo and him romping around and streaking outside of a Mexican villa were published. Many fans of his former wife Jessica Simpson and Nick as a couple are hoping that may drive him back to Simpson.

A new report claims that Jess feels the same way. OK! Magazine reports that it has been a year since Jessica Simpson’s divorce to Nick Lachey became final. Now, the pop princess is telling friends that it was the biggest mistake of her life.

Jessica’s family tried to cheer up the sullen single star with balloons and fun outings to celebrate her special day, but to no avail. “It didn’t stop her from being sad,” a friend tells OK! The magazine muses, “With her love life and career in a downward spiral, Jessica’s seriously fears that her success, both professional and romantic, was due to Nick.”

An earlier report cited an insider that said Jess thought the wild photos from the hot tub were “tacky.” The source even hinted that Jessica believed that Vanessa knew the cameras were rolling. Will fans of the couple get to see a come back? Certainly it seems like Nick and Vanessa are quite solid, they have been together for a year, and it was Jessica’s decision to axe Nick.
