Jessica Simpson Hearts Lane Garrison
Jessica Simpson is going to fetch Lane Garrison from prison this week! Well, not exactly “fetch”, fetch, but she will send a car to the Richard J. Donovan Correctional Facility in San Deigo, California to pick him up.
Now, before your minds take a wrong turn, let me explain. The pop-turned-country singer and the Prison Break star (i.e. Jessica and Lane, for those who did not get it), are childhood friends. While Jess hasn’t exactly visited Lane since he was imprisoned, but In Touch magazine say that sources insist that she has, at least, kept in contact with her old pal.
Lane was sentenced to 40 months behind the bars because of a drunk driving incident back in December of 2006. Why 40 months? Because this incident resulted in the death of a 17-year-old passenger, Vahagn Setian and in the serious injuries of two other 15-year-old girls who were also in the car with him. The actor was actually bringing the teens back home after a Hollywood party, when he lost control of his vehicle, which resulted to the death of the boy. He pleaded guilty to the charges of driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter.
He has just finished up settling a civil suit with the boy’s parents and crash survivor, Michelle Ohana, who spent the next two months after the accident in a wheelchair. Lane was granted parole and has already signed his early-release papers. Officials at the California Department of Corrections have confirmed Garrison is to be released after earning good behavior credits.
