Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo Calling it Quits?!
Oh no!
As I was browsing the net, intending to gather pictures and what-not for Jessica Simpson’s Barbie-and-Ken-themed 29th birthday party, another headline shocked me out of my stupor: Tony Romo allegedly dumped Jess the night before the party! How heartless could the guy get (assuming that this is true, of course).
But again, this is just a rumor, since conveniently, or inconveniently, neither one of Jessica’s or Tony’s representatives could be reached for comment.
Anyways, it looks like Tony broke up with the then-happy birthday girl on Thursday night. The Dallas Cowboy quarterback then had the gall to go out clubbing with 14 of his pals at Hollywood hotspot, MyHouse, where an E! onlooker reported that “quite a few girls stopped by his table.” The following day, Tony was spotted chilling out with his pals at the Roosevelt Hotel.
One unnamed “source” (how convenient) says that Jessica was “surprised. She wouldn’t have planned a party if she knew this was coming.”
“She is heartbroken,” says the source further. “She loves Tony. But it’s been difficult lately. He’s busy with his career and she’s getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways.”
However, if this is true, this isn’t the first time that Tony and Jess has called it quits, although he does have a flair for bailing out just before special occasions. On their first break-up, it happened before Jess’s sister, Ashlee Simpson’s wedding to Pete Wentz. Luckily, they patched things up in time for the wedding ceremony. But this, time, looks like they didn’t catch the 24-hour deadline to Jess’s birthday.
