Jessica gets Fancier and Fancier at Macy’s
Jessica Simpson appears to be getting fancier and fancier during a promotional launch for her new fragrance, “Fancy” at Macy’s South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, last December 13, Saturday.
Jess is hoping that Fancy will have more sales as Macy’s is expecting higher sales, specially with the upcoming Christmas shopping rush.
Well, let’s look at some reviews of Jess’s Fancy.
“It starts out fruity and strong, and sweet enough to rot the enamel right off your teeth (the notes: pear, apricot nectar, red fruits, gardenia, jasmine, toasted almonds, caramel, sandalwood, vanilla crème and amber crystals). The dry down is calmer, and while it stays sweet, it reaches reasonable (to me, anyway) levels within about 15 or 20 minutes. It is vanillic and dessert-like, and it does have burnt sugar elements, but it’s neither creamy nor cake-y; it’s probably closer to hard candy or taffy than crème brûlée. – Now Smell This
“Simpson’s last bathroom brand was a series of whipped, edible body sprays and foams called Dessert. It was wildly successful so I was expecting Fancy to be a similarly gobby sticky-sweet sundae of a scent, with a cotton-candy chaser. That’s not the case. It’s definitely a gourmand (read: sweet food) smell, that category that appeals to teens and giggling young women, but it’s more in the order of a fancy French apricot, silky caramel and vanilla dessert than a Dairy Queen breezer. Pretty bottle, too.” – Sniff Test by The Ampersand
So what are you waiting for? Buy a bottle now and smell for yourself whether Fancy is as fancy as it’s hyped out to be. Happy sniffing!
