Celebs: “Jessica is NOT Fat” part 1
In a surprising show of strength and support, celebrities have come to Jessica Simpson’s defense. So right now, it’s a battle between some celebrities and the press people (magazines, tabloids, even evening news!).
The usually judgmental set of celebrities have banded together when one of their own got “attacked”. I’m talking about the exaggerated media hype over actress/singer Jessica’s apparent weight gain when she showed off a “fuller figure” during a performance in a Florida concert where she performed. It even made the headlines in newspapers and in the evening news, and of course, the tabloids.
Family members, younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, and brother-in-law, Pete Wentz were, as expected, indignant for their sister’s behalf. But other celebrities gave their support too, some surprising, some less so. Usmagazine.com has come up with a set of celebrities who have joined the “Jessica is NOT Fat” bandwagon.
Jordana Brewster said that, “I think she is beautiful. I think it’s really, really hard in Hollywood because there is an absurd standard that is really hard. It absolutely sucks. She shouldn’t be judged so harshly.”
Tori Spelling, another celebrity who was previously criticized on her weight told Us, “I think she looks great. To be honest, I haven’t noticed a difference, so all of a sudden when I saw her on the cover, in my opinion, she’s [still] Jessica Simpson. You know what this means? She’s still really popular.”
While Paris Hilton’s sister, Nicky Hilton opted to be short and straight to the point with, “I think it sucks. I think the media is very cruel with that stuff.”
