Wow! Isn’t Tony Romo one lucky guy or what?!

The pro-football player was invited by none other than the great golfer, Tiger Woods. I bet a lot of golf enthusiasts would have wanted to be in Washington DC for Tiger Woods’s golf tournament.

But what got me thinking was how some Cowboys fans got mad because of Tony’s attendance on the said event. Some say that he should just practice football, what was he thinking, doesn’t he want to improve his game?

Well, folks, as hard as it is to comprehend, but Tony is a good football player. He, along with the rest of the team, have been up at 5AM for a five-mile jog, stepped in the gym more times than should be allowed, threw passes to reserves blindfolded, and bench-pressed several Volkswagen, just for the sake of keeping in shae an staying in their game.

But why do people harp on Tony Romo? Well, I guess it’s partly because he has a famous celebrity for his girlfriend, Jessica Simpson. I mean, all the other famous football players have girlfriends and wives, but none of them get written up because fans feel that their other halves are making them distracted from the game.

Another is because he’s really not bad at playing golf. His score is good, meaning that he has been working a bit on his golf skills. But this just shows his natural drive and talent for athletics and golfs. Hey, he does spend time with Papa Joe Simpson on the golf course for a couple of times, right? And isn’t the man entitled to some relief from the overly physical football?

All of the Cowboys now and over the past 50 years have had interests other than football. It’s just that Tony’s outside interests draw a lot of attention. When you can only get two shots from Tiger Woods and have Jessica Simpson as a forecaddie, you get noticed too. Unfortunately, you also get written up and criticized over it.

Tony Romo may be quite the charmer on and off the field, but I think that he may need to work on his game when it comes to dates with his girlfriend, singer/actress, Jessica Simpson.

The busy Dallas Cowboys quarterback talked with Entertainment Tonight about life with Jess, pregnancy rumors, and the perfect date night.

So first up, what can he say about the pregnancy rumors that have been hounding the couple since late last year? “None that I can think of,” laughs Tony, adding, “but I’m sure you guys’ll tell me something new soon enough.” Uh-huh. So he’s actually waiting for the media to tell him about any news of pregnancy? Why not ask a more reliable source, Tony? You can ask, say, Jess, for example.

Moving on, the star athlete also talked about his dream date night with Jess. And that is…drumroll please… “A little bit to eat and probably watch a football game!”

Yeah. That’s it. Oh well, considering he’s a guy and all. But still, a football game? Seriously?

But hey, before you get discouraged by the guy’s lack of creativity, let’s hear him out.

“It’s exciting for both of us because I found someone I get to hang with,” he explains, “and she really embraces the game and really wants to see our team do well, and it’s great to have someone like that.”

Oh! So that’s why.

For those not in the know, Tony is the face of Starter, a high quality sports performance gear at an affordable price sold exclusively at Walmart. But he’s not going full-time into modeling just yet.

“I don’t think I’ll ever be a model; I don’t have any ‘Zoolander’ poses,” says a self-effacing Tony.

“But we’ll definitely get out here and have some fun with the Starter stuff. As an athlete you know you want to feel comfortable when you’re moving around, and have stuff on you that feels natural, and they do a really good job.”

Is there trouble within the Cowboys ranks?

Well, some reporters think so. After a careless, “joking” remark that another Dallas Cowboys star, Terrell Owens said, about how quarterback, Tony Romo’s celebrity girlfriend, Jessica Simpson was “taking Tony’s focus away”, and that she “was not a favorite in the Cowboys’ locker or at the Texas stadium” where she watched her boyfriend’s team lose to the Eagles, some reporters feel that this may cause not a little amount of strife between the two.

After making that remark, T.O., as Terrell is so fondly nicknamed, hurriedly clarified that he was just “joking around.”

“I was joking around and trying to have a little fun. And some guys take something I say and make a little something more out of it,” he said after being cornered in an interview.

“Everybody here was laughing, and you know, and just trying to have fun with it. At this point of time, I’m not gonna dwell on it,” T.O. said when asked for a comment about his anti-Jessica comment, adding that “Everybody kinda wanted her to be a distraction… but she (Jessica) did what she came to do as far as to being there…and other than that she doesn’t running around, she doesn’t throw any balls, she doesn’t kick any balls.” He also said that they lost the game, stressing that it was their responsibility, and should not be given to any of their player’s girlfriends.

Well at any rate, T.O. has definitely learned his lesson.

“I guess I should’ve been careful of what I had to say, but now they’re just trying to create some type of dissention between the locker room and maybe between Tony and I, but I don’t think that’s going to happen,” he reveals. “I was just joking around…and the next thing I know I’m driving home and I hear a lot of people telling me to be aware of what I say to the media,” he adds.

“I talked to Tony and I hope that there are no hard feelings,” T.O. spells out, and just advises everyone to “move on” with their lives.

Jessica Simpson might have to wait a tad bit longer for that marriage proposal from boyfriend, Tony Romo.

Jess has quashed the abounding rumors that she and Tony are out and about shopping for wedding rings. The couple, who started dating two years ago, in 2007, aren’t looking for rings, but instead are scouring for DVDs.

“It’s funny to me that people are saying that Tony and me are out shopping for diamonds. Trust me, we’re not out shopping for diamonds - if anything we are out going to buy DVDs. That’s pretty much it,” the Do You Know singer reveals, while adding, “We have movie nights and cooking and ordering in, but there has not been any diamonds in this relationship.”

And speaking of DVDs, Jessica’s newest film, Private Valentine: Blonde & Dangerous, which was formerly known as, Major Movie Star, is hitting stores in February! Although the movie is being released straight to DVD, I think that her fans are still eager to see it. So, buy copies as soon as it gets out into the market, and tell me what you think about it.

And while we’re in the topic of Jessica’s career, I’m happy to note that her concert with country-pop act, Rascal Flatts, has been officially confirmed by promoter, Live Nation, last Friday, January 9. They will perform on February 25, at the Idaho Center in Nampa. After the bromance between Pete Wentz and his “man-crush” John Mayer, there is yet another set of bromance in the air. But this time it’s between Jessica Simpson’s boyfriend, Tony Romo, and her father cum manager, Joe Simpson.

And what more can cement bromance than golf? The two went clubbing, as in golf clubbing, at one of the golf courses in Los Angeles yesterday, January 9. Does this mean that Tony and Jessica’s relationship is now up another level? I mean, it’s not every day that a man cozies up to the father of his girlfriend. Well, it seems that her appearance in the Dallas Cowboys Cookbook signals a closer relationship between the two.

Back to the Joe-Tony bonding, I guess that Joe’s trying to bond with his hopefully soon-to-be son-in-law. To refresh your memories, I would just like to remind everyone reading that Papa Joe’s meddling was pointed out to be the reason why Tony and Jess broke up during the early part of last year.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported last year that Papa Joe was giving Tony “unsolicited advice to Tony on his career, endorsement opportunities and things that have nothing to do with him dating Jessica.”

Well, it doesn’t matter now. Jess and Tony are going strong (now that Papa Joe is leaving their relationship alone), and that he’s apparently recovered from the rib injury that he sustained in a recent game. But hey, Tony has something to smile about because it was reported by witnesses that he has quite an impressive golf swing. Does anybody see a career change?

Although country singer, Jessica Simpson is not yet the wife of quarterback, Tony Romo, the blonde bombshell is already considered to be a part of the Dallas Cowboys’ family.

Jess, who is currently dating the Cowboys’ quarterback, is featured in the 2008 Dallas Cowboys’ Family Cookbook, sharing some of her favorite recipes along with “the wives of the Dallas Cowboys“.

Dallas Cowboy’s quarterback and Jessica Simpson’s beau, Tony Romo collapsed in the shower after a game (which they lost) against the Philadelphia Eagles.

His three turnovers in the game were momentarily meaningless when players started yelling in the shower where he collapsed from a rib injury.

Athletic trainer Jim Maurer and his staff rushed into the shower as the locker room came to a near standstill. Pandemonium broke out in the locker room when Tony collapsed. Anxious team mates called for help, and even moved reporters aside, so paramedics could reach the fallen cowboy with a stretcher in hand. However, Tony managed to walk on his own to the training room after being lifted up to his feet.

When asked about what happened, the 28-year-old quarterback told the Dallas Morning News, “Um, you know, I was just a little banged up, I guess.”

Apparently, concerned girlfriend, Jess, flew to his side when she learned that he got injured.

And what is the great perk after getting an injury? Well, Tony now has to “rest” and spend time with his girlfriend. The two took advantage of their time together by flying to Miami for a holiday getaway, when they learned that he could still get around, even with the injury.

The “Most Rooted For Couple in 2008” arrived at Dallas/Ft Worth International Airport on Friday afternoon, following their vacation.

The two smiled as they made their way through the terminal, with Tony saying that his “Do You Know” singing girlfriend is “being a good doctor to him” while sporting an “Almost Handsome” t-shirt.

Whispers are flying that Jessica Simpson is “desperate” to get married to beau, Tony Romo. And how true is that? According to Touch Weekly magazine’s reliable source, it pretty much has a ring of truth to it.

It seems likely that this shining light of inspiration to get married comes from Jess being jealous of her younger sister, Ashlee, becoming a new mom before she did.
