Simpson Watch

Oh, wow. So, it would seem that I have this blog, SimpsonWatch.com. And I’m supposed to post on it about Ashlee and Jessica.

Except…I kind of kept putting it off, and putting it off, and there was just so much more interesting things to write about Britney Spears, and so I kept putting it off…until finally, I remembered: hey. Didn’t I used to write a Simpson blog also? I should really get on that.

So…what have Jessica and Ashlee been up to lately? Not much, truth be told. But I’ll still share some tidbits with you:

Ashlee, it seems, is left denying rumors whether she’s ever used Botox. This seems kind of obvious, she’s only 23 after all, but the rumors started swirling and now she’s trying to do damage control. So she’s saying, “NO, I DON’T USE BOTOX” and crediting her eyebrows to her makeup artist. Whatever. Do we really care about this? I say: No. Moving along! (more…)

No wonder Jessica Simpson looks as tone as she does - she’s been working out a lot lately for her role in Major Movie Star!

The singer/actress was spotted in Hollywood going for a run. I was really kind of hoping she’d look all sweaty and out of breath, kind of how I look when I go for a run, but: NO. She looked beautiful, even then. (more…)

Now that Jessica has finished filming “Major Movie Star”, she’s got more time for the important things in life. Well, important to her, anyway.

She’s been seen lunching with her sister, showing off her Valentino bag and (lest your forget her origins) singing! I can’t confirm the rumor, but I hear that she’s working on a country album. With Willie Nelson. In Nashville. (more…)

Ashlee Simpson attended the Just Cavalli Flagship Launch Party last week, and looked foxy while there. I’ll tell you - this girl cleans up well. Everything about her ensemble - shoes, dress, jewelry, makeup - looks perfect. It also makes me think that she must not have dressed herself. If that were the case, she might have just worn skinny jeans and a black shirt. (more…)

Joe Simpson and Pete Wentz whooped up on some bodyguards who hassled their beloved Ashlee Simpson the other night.

It happened when the group was trying to leave a party at the Mirage. Bouncers let Ashlee, Papa Joe and boyfriend Pete pass through to get to their waiting SUV, but they stuck out their arms and stopped the rest of their entourage. Pete demanded that they let his buddies through, screaming “This is my car! I paid for this car!” along with some choice expletives. (more…)

Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz joined his lovely girlfriend, Ashlee Simpson, at the MTV VMAs in Las Vegas, and I must say: he looked happier than I’ve ever seen him in a long time. Relaxed, even. Of course, that might be because he’s trying to win big money…(not that he needs it).

Ashlee Simpson rocked the 2007 VMAs in an ultra-short dress that showed off her ballerina-esque legs. I think she looked cute, but her skin was a little pale. Kind of ghostly. And paired with that dark eyeliner, she actually looked goth. But maybe that’s the look she was going for. (more…)

Jess is nowhere to be found in these photos, but Ashlee and her mom, Tina, look like they’re having a ball at BCBG Max Azria’s show. And who’s that sitting next to Ashlee and Tina? Like she has a movie coming out sometime soon. Like…oh, wait. She does. And here she is on the cover of yet another mag. It’s a publication I’ve never heard of, but whatever. Jessica Simpson was allegedly 11 hours late for a promotional interview. The actress was due to speak to Lara Spencer of America’s ‘The Insider’ show at 10 a.m. However, Jessica didn’t arrive until 9 p.m., leaving Laura - who had flown to Louisiana, where Jessica is currently filming new movie ‘Major Movie Star,’ to conduct the interview - waiting for 11 hours. Jessica Simpson is dressed in army uniform, filming the kind of (subjective) tough scene in which she broke her nose.

Jessica said she “either broke or fractured [her] nose” after accidentally hitting herself with a gun on the set of military movie ‘Major Movie Star’ in Shreveport, Louisiana. She says she can only carry on working thanks to the “magic of makeup” (seen here as it hides the bruises and swelling that she allegedly suffered in the accident). (more…)
