Jessica Simpson was allegedly 11 hours late for a promotional interview. The actress was due to speak to Lara Spencer of America’s ‘The Insider’ show at 10 a.m. However, Jessica didn’t arrive until 9 p.m., leaving Laura - who had flown to Louisiana, where Jessica is currently filming new movie ‘Major Movie Star,’ to conduct the interview - waiting for 11 hours. Poor Jessica. The girl just can’t catch a break. Her movies have all been flops, or have been predicted to be flops, her music is good but…her sound is the same (sorry, it is, I had to be honest), her love life is non-existent (I’m STILL waiting for Nick and Jessica to rekindle their marriage — it’s a long shot, I know, but I still think it could totally work out) and now? NOW? Jessica Simpson has broken her nose.

We reported before that Jessica was on the cover of Germany’s edition of Glamour magazine, and it appears as though she’s making the rounds. Now Jessica is on the cover of Holland’s TV/Film magazine.

I can’t read any of this, considering it’s in Dutch, but for any of you who took Dutch classes in high school or college now is the time to brush up on your reading skills!! (Or, you know, if you’re just bilingual. And if you are, I heart you.)

Personally, I think she looks REALLY CUTE in camoflauge - and I can think of a ton of soldiers who really would love to serve our country alongside her. Talk about motivation to stay in the field!

Jess is filming the movie Major Movie Star, which is set to come out in 2008. The movie follows what producers call a “fluffy, bubble gum movie star” (played by Jessica Simpson) who suddenly finds herself broke and humiliated in the public eye. After surviving a car accident (sound familiar, Lindsay Lohan?), she wanders from the wreckage and witlessly enlists in the U.S. Army hoping in vain that it will change her life.

I can think of a few celebrities who should maybe take a note or two from that plot line…

Jessica Simpson’s dad Joe talks about the many “interesting” roles Jessica has been offered over the years:

She’s always been herself on camera, but Jessica Simpson isn’t ready to show all of herself on camera.

“The last script that came to us was for Jessica to be a porn star,” Jessica’s father and manager, Joe Simpson, told PEOPLE at Thursday’s ABC Television Critics Association party in Beverly Hills.

“We were promised we would win an Oscar with that,” says Simpson, 49. “I was like, ‘Eh, we’ll just buy a [statue of a] little man and keep our clothes on.’ ”

Since she shot to fame in 2003 with ex-husband Nick Lachey on MTV’s Newlyweds Jessica Simpson, 27, has been receiving quirky TV-show proposals “every day,” according to her father.

“We’re pitched those a lot,” he says. “There are a lot of cool ones, and a lot of really strange ones.”

Currently, Papa Simpson is promoting ABC’s fall series The Women’s Murder Club, which he is producing with Rush Hour director Brett Ratner. No plans are underway for Jessica or her younger sister Ashlee Simpson, 22, to appear on the show.

“They’re very busy, and they’re happy,” Joe Simpson says of his daughters. “Jessica has three more movies to shoot; she has a new record coming in September. If the right role came up, of course, we’d never turn that down.”

It turns out that Jessica Simpson’s new film, “Blonde Ambition” has had its release date pushed back twice because the movie is so bad.

A source told that, “Jessica was not very focused on-set and flubbed her lines often. She always had her dog around, was on the phone with [then-] boyfriend John Mayer or was sitting in a warmed-up SUV.”

The film is now set to come out the last week of August.

Jessica has been working overtime to get in tip-top shape for her latest film, Major Movie Star.

It doesn’t begin shooting until July 16th, but Shreveport, LA is already preparing for Jessica’s arrival. In fact, if you want to try to be a big movie star yourself, you can attend an open casting call for extras on June 30th. Rumor has it that Jessica Simpson is in talks to be the new Bond girl. She’ll play opposite hottie Daniel Craig. Some have said that playing this role is career suicide, but I think Jess would make a great Bond girl! She’s got all the curves for the role - that’s for sure!
