Uh-Oh. Jessica Simpson has made yet another cringe-inspiring faux pas.

When she attended the release of her dad cum manager, Joe Simpson’s new artist, An-Ya’s single release celebration with her family, she was asked with by a paparazzo whether she would take back her gift to Tony Romo, a $100,000-dollar boat.

“I am not an Indian giver,” she quipped.

The context of her answer wasn’t racial by any means, but nonetheless, it has inspired the anger and indignation of the local Native American community.

And as we could expect, reaction from her comment was swift on TMZ’s website, and from members of an American-Indian watchdog group.

“I cringed when I heard Jessica Simpson comment about us Native Americans. Am I mad!?! I should be, but look at who the comment is coming from,” commented one member, and at the same time delivering a subtle slap on the face.

Jacqueline L. Pata, executive director of the National Congress of American Indians, tells Usmagazine.com that the concept of Indians “giving” and “sharing” with one another is where the term, “Indian-giver” originated, but it somehow morphed into an insensitive phrase that stereotypes native people as ones who give and then take back.

“Most people flippantly use the comment . . . without realizing its true meaning,” she said.

Oh well, I doubt that Jess really meant to hurt anyone’s feelings. I doubt that she really gave a thought to her comment. But just because she is the Jessica Simpson, the whole issue has blown well out of proportion.

Oh please! Not another one!

There is another celebrity dragged into the Jessica Simpson-Tony Romo split. And not, it’s Kenny Chesney being dragged into the muck.

For those who don’t know, Kenny Chesney is a popular country music singer. And with Jess’s stint in country music, the rumor mill got busy when they spotted her talking to the famous performer during a 4th of July party.

This prompted Kenny to blast a tabloid report that alleged that he and Jess flirted with each other in front of Tony Romo just a few days before the couple’s breakup.

“Tony’s a friend, and I wouldn’t flirt with a buddy’s girlfriend,” he told People. “More importantly, Jessica was just being sweet and there was nothing else to it.”

“It’s not funny,” he adamantly says, “There were no problems. Everybody got along great. After the party, everybody went their own way and nobody thought anything more about it. Period. End of story.”

The party was thrown by Kenny’s friend, Sean Payton, coach of pro football’s New Orleans Saints, Kenny says.

“If a girl and her boyfriend can’t go to someone’s house for a Fourth of July party and talk to the other guests without it turning into a big nightmare…then I feel really sorry for Jessica and Tony, who’re both really nice people,” Kenny says. “I wonder if I wasn’t famous if anyone would even care. But the fact of the matter is I talked to a bunch of guests, hung out, had a good time.”

Kenny, if you weren’t famous, then I really doubt that Jess would talk to you.

But he does have a point, if the three of them weren’t big names, then this article would not have been created in the first place.

The plot thickens…

There has emerged another angle in the Jessica Simpson-Tony Romo split. A new name has emerged in the event. Who? John Mayer! Jessica’s ex-boyfriend.

Tony is assumed to have broken-up with Jessica on the eve of her 29th birthday after discovering text messages from her ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.

For those of you who have lived under a rock for the past two weeks: Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have broken up. Yes, yes, though it’s just rumors because the parties concerned really didn’t say anything about it, I guess that the grapevine can be trustworthy at times. Remember, when there’s smoke, there’s fire? And there’s surely a lot of smoke billowing about.

Anyway, while Jess and Tony broke up just last week, Nick Lachey and his girlfriend of three years, Vanessa Minnillo have also called it quits. Smell something?

There is trouble in Paradise.

Hollywood couple, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo have broken up the night before her 29th birthday. Well, we knew that already.

Last week, Jess, presumably nursing a broken heart, canceled her 29th Barbi-themed birthday party. On her birthday night, Tony was out clubbing with male pals in LA. The next day, he was poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel, without Jessica.

When Jessica Simpson revealed to Pop tarts that she has dreams like “every normal person” which is to male records and babies, she also said that she will “hopefully get married soon.” No doubt that she was thinking of then-beau, Tony Romo to be the one waiting for her as she walks down the aisle. But it looks like that scenario will not be happening anytime soon.

Jess cancelled her Barbie-themed birthday party after Tony unscrupulously broke up with her the eve of her birthday.

“Jess was too heartbroken to have a big bash. She knows that she and Tony are broken up for good. They were heading in different directions,” says an unnamed source.

To which, Jess Tweeted: Barbie party didn’t happen, but i turned 29 and feel like i am on top of the world yelling I LOVE GETTING OLDER.

That’s the attitude, Jess!

But what do you think caused the rift?

“Jessica was ready to settle down, and Tony was not. He travels a lot for his games, and having a full-time girlfriend is a big commitment,” says one source.

“It was a long time coming, he hasn’t really been into her and the relationship for awhile, but stayed together because he didn’t want to look like a jerk for not having a better reason to break it off,” says another source. “And she’s trying to save face by saying that it’s because of their busy schedules.”

“At one point Joe was even giving Tony football advice which doesn’t go down well,” suggests another insider. “Tony was a football superstar before he got mixed up in Hollywood, this move will be probably be good at least for his career.”

An issue-slash-rumor about the break-up that happened between Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson has had Hollywood in a buzz. And what’s that other humming that we here along with the buzz? Oh, just that Jessica’s ex-husband, Nick Lachey, is single too. Great timing, right? Or maybe it’s just coincidence? Oh, well.

Anyway, Nick’s BFF, Matt Leinart, said that just because the two stars found themselves suddenly single, it doesn’t mean that they’ll get back together.

“I didn’t even know she was single,” said Matt, the footballer said at the Verizon Wireless Matt Leinart Foundation benefit at Lucky Strike. “That was a long time ago; they’ve grown up. It’s in the past for a reason.” Okaaaayyyy. Someone sounds negative.

However, Melissa Rycroft, best remembered after she won the last rose from The Bachelor with Jason Mesnick, is all about giving a second chance.

“Hey, I gave it another shot with my ex—you never know,” the newly engaged gal told E! Melissa is marrying Tye Strickland, whom she previously dated before competing on The Bachelor and then breaking up with him.

The Jessica-Tony break-up was still the topic at the ESPY week at the Sports Dream Celebrity Poker and Pool Party at the Playboy Mansion on Monday.

“I do think the nature of celebrity complicates relationships,” Hugh Hefner said, “but it depends on the individual.”

Hawthorne star and Alias alum Michael Vartan says, “I’m sorry it’s over but I hope they’re still friends.”

Hmmmm…many voices, but none of them coming from Jess and Tony themselves, or at least from sister Ashlee Simpson-Wentz. Oh well, let’s just wait and see of this is true or not.

As I was browsing the net, intending to gather pictures and what-not for Jessica Simpson’s Barbie-and-Ken-themed 29th birthday party, another headline shocked me out of my stupor: Tony Romo allegedly dumped Jess the night before the party! How heartless could the guy get (assuming that this is true, of course).

What? Jessica and Tony are actually shy? You don’t say!

If you look closely to this picture and compare it to the other one with the article about the Simpson family dinner, you would see that it’s actually Private Valentine star Jessica Simpson and her beau, Dallas Cowboys quarterback, Tony Romo, behind that big, brown pillow. Why they’re hiding behind it is anyone’s guess.

This couple isn’t normally camera-shy. On the contrary, they aren’t afraid to strike a few poses and a quick smile to the paparazzi that are always a step behind them whenever they’re out in public. But I guess that there comes a moment in people’s lives, even for celebrities, when all they want is to be able to have a little privacy where they can belch as loudly as they want, particularly after a dinner with the ‘rents.

Although country singer, Jessica Simpson is not yet the wife of quarterback, Tony Romo, the blonde bombshell is already considered to be a part of the Dallas Cowboys’ family.

Jess, who is currently dating the Cowboys’ quarterback, is featured in the 2008 Dallas Cowboys’ Family Cookbook, sharing some of her favorite recipes along with “the wives of the Dallas Cowboys“.

This family seems to be getting a slew of unique awards this year. From Bronx Mowgli’s Quirkiest Baby Name Award, to Jess’s Money Loser of 2008, the Simpson’s can add another “title”.

Jessica Simpson and beau, Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys, had the most number of votes in dearsugar.com’s poll, “Which Celebrity Couple Did You Root For In 2008?”

The other celebrity couple contenders included in the poll were: Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen, John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston, Seal and Heidi Klum, Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon, Samantha Ronson and Lindsay Lohan, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, and Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel.

The website cited that, “Even though there are so many on-again, off-again couples out there, it’s easy to have a favorite. I asked you who you rooted for in 2008, and though it was a close call between two famous duos, Tony Romo and Jessica Simpson won your vote by 34 %.” Awwwww…

So it seems that a number of people want this couple to make it. But the question remains, will they make it through 2009 as a couple? Well, the only people entitled to answer that are Jess and Tony. After all, they are the ones that make up the relationship. All the rest of us can do, is to watch closely and keep our fingers crossed. They will surely face a lot more trials, controversies, and issues in 2009, so we can only hope that they make it through the year. Hey, who knows? They might even get married!

Because her little sister, Ashlee seems to be doing great with her life now as a wife to Pete Wentz and new mom to Bronx, rumors have it that Jessica Simpson is now ‘desperate’ to start her own family, too (again) with her football star boyfriend, Tony Romo.

In line with this ‘desperation’ a source tells Perezhilton.com, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Jessica makes an announcement that she’s pregnant very, very soon.”

On the other hand, Jessica also revealed how she’s become domesticated with her ‘cowboy’.

She said: “My personality is now more stay-at-home right now I’m doing the Christmas tree and everything. I’m in Dallas and it’s fun, Tony hasn’t had Christmas in seven years because they have football every Christmas and he can’t go home. So I’m bringing Christmas to him this year.”

“Believe it or not, I like to bake pies. Tony’s favourite is pumpkin pie and I haven’t mastered that yet. Maybe I’m more of a baker - I like to make cakes, more fattening.”

Well I guess Jess is already on the right age to have her own child. Add to that, it seems like having a baby is the latest ‘trend’ in Hollywood today; it changes people’s negative perspectives on stars (take Nicole Richie for example) and it seems to always give an added sex appeal to the celebrities (like Jennifer Lopez and Angelina Jolie).

On being ‘desperate’ to get married with the Dallas Cowboy, I think the country singer should take it slowly but surely and learn from her failed marriage with Nick Lachey.
