Ashlee Simpson has come a long way since being a style wallflower in the shadow of older sister Jessica. “I used to look at a beautiful girl on the cover of a magazine and think I could never be that,” the 23-year-old singer tells Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

But Simpson – who has churned through countless haircuts and colors over her six years of stardom – has graced recent covers of Cosmopolitan, CosmoGirl! and Seventeen. Now she’s the cover girl on Us’ 2008 Beauty Makeover Special issue, which includes 30 pages of bonus makeovers, tips, and star style.

“I definitely embrace my sexy side, but at the end of the day, I still feel like the girl next door,” she tells Us. “I like to get dressed up now, and that’s something I’ve never been into before.” Simpson also opens up to Us about her April 2006 rhinoplasty. “I think as long as people have two eyes, then you probably know the answer,” she says.

“[Plastic surgery] is something that everybody should think about for a really long time,” she tells Us. “Once you know it’s something you really feel comfortable with, then to each their own.” Still, the singer downplays her own transformation. “I was never really unhappy with how I looked, [and] I don’t think I am more beautiful than I was [before],” Simpson tells Us. “I just see the same old goofy girl I see every day.”

This past weekend held a busy Saturday for Jessica Simpson, as the With You singer ended the day aboard a flight headed to the Middle East.

Jess began the day by attending an autograph session at Dillard’s Stonebriar Center (in Frisco, Texas - just northeast of Dallas - I wish I could have stopped by!) to promote her latest designs in her new fashion line. Her pup, Daisy, stayed by her side throughout the appearance. (more…)

Bam Margera, the star of Jackass and Viva La Bam, has come clean about his romance with Jessica Simpson. Bam and Jessica were romantically linked in 2005 while Jessica was still married to Nick Lachey. Bam is now married to his childhood sweetheart, Missy Rothstein, and we all know that Jessica is, unfortunately, divorced from Nick.

Jessica has always, always denied the rumors of a romance with Bam. Bam has adamantly boasted that he and Jessica briefly dated. Recently, Bam started talking about their brief romance again - and he came clean about the truth, admitting that his fling with Jessica ended when Bam’s former fiancee discovered the affair. Jessica Simpson is reportedly planning to have a baby with her gay hairdresser.

I know, I know. I couldn’t believe it either. What’s more, I couldn’t find anything to back up that claim, other than other gossip sites. Allegedly, More magazine (which doesn’t make sense, because it is for women ages 40+, and Jessica Simpson is like HALF that age, but whatever) has reported that the singer-actress wants to be artificially inseminated with the help of her long-term friend Ken Paves. Jessica Simpson’s home, located in West Hollywood, is absolutely gorgeous. I love how lush the backyard is - like her own private escape - with a pool that is both modern and perfect for swimming laps, dipping your feet at the water’s edge, or hosting a pool party. Jessica Simpson was allegedly 11 hours late for a promotional interview. The actress was due to speak to Lara Spencer of America’s ‘The Insider’ show at 10 a.m. However, Jessica didn’t arrive until 9 p.m., leaving Laura - who had flown to Louisiana, where Jessica is currently filming new movie ‘Major Movie Star,’ to conduct the interview - waiting for 11 hours.
