Jessica Simpson is reportedly planning to have a baby with her gay hairdresser.

I know, I know. I couldn’t believe it either. What’s more, I couldn’t find anything to back up that claim, other than other gossip sites. Allegedly, More magazine (which doesn’t make sense, because it is for women ages 40+, and Jessica Simpson is like HALF that age, but whatever) has reported that the singer-actress wants to be artificially inseminated with the help of her long-term friend Ken Paves. I guess someone had their wires crossed because Ashlee Simpson denies the pregnancy and engagement rumors that have been buzzing around the internet. Too bad, I bet she’d look adorable with a baby bump!

Ashlee Simpson has quashed rumours she is engaged to Fall Out Boy star Pete Wentz or pregnant with his baby.

The Hollyscoop girls cite a source that says, “Ashlee wasn’t expecting it at all, it was a total surprise,” a blab said. “Pete whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee, and asked Ashlee to be his bride. Ashlee says it was romantic, sexy - and that she said yes right away.”

The pair began dating earlier this year (07), with gossip websites in the U.S. alleging Wentz had proposed to the singer before his band’s performance at the Live Earth event earlier this month (07Jul07).

Wesbite Popcrunch claimed the engagement was kept a secret because of the failure of sister Jessica’s marriage to Nick Lachey, which ended in divorce in 2006.

But a spokesperson for Simpson tells UsMagazine.com Wentz and Simpson’s engagement rumours are “absolutely not true”.

Yesterday we reported that Ashlee Simpson may be engaged to Pete Wentz. But now it looks like she could be more than just engaged…

The National Ledger has reported that Ashlee may be carrying Pete Wentz’ spawn - the rumors began when Ashlee was seen continually rubbing her belly. The report also notes that at a family wedding on 7-7-07 (they skipped the Paris wedding of Eva and Tony to stay at home with the family) sparked rumors that she might in fact be pregnant. “Ashlee may have helped start the rumors herself…She was at a family wedding and was wandering around rubbing her belly. And she refused to drink anything.”

Jessica Simpson was recently seen out-and-about getting in touch with her inner child. Though Jessica is more than twenty years older than Angelina Jolie’s son, Pax Thien, age 3 (adopted from Vietnam), they are wearing the same t-shirt.

Jessica Simpson’s growing bust size has pals wondering whether she’s pregnant with on-again, off-again beau John Mayer’s baby.

A pal revealed to the National Enquirer that Simpson’s breasts had grown so huge in such a short time that her friends were wondering whether the stork will soon be paying her a visit.

“Her friends are astounded at how huge Jessica’s breasts have gotten, and are asking each other if she could be pregnant,” the National Ledger quoted the pal, as telling the tabloid.

Another reason why pals also think that Simpson is pregnant, is because not only has she been taking care of herself, but also because she refuses to confirm or deny the reports.

“Her breasts are positively huge, and she really seems to be taking care of herself,” the pal said.

“She’s not saying anything one way or the other when the subject comes up, but women who put on weight don’t smile when someone suggests they might be pregnant,” added the source.

However, Jessica Simpson’s publicist denies that she is expecting.

The singer recently confirmed that she had split from beau John Mayer, though the pair were spotted in Cabo this weekend attempting to rekindle their romance. They were last spotted having a lover’s quarrel on the balcony of their oceanfront villa.

Jessica Simpson is doing her best Angelina Jolie by confessing that she wants babies – she just doesn’t want to make one herself, yet.

So what’s getting Jessica in the mothering mood? Her dogs, at least according to the New York Post’s Cindy Adams. But the pop princess, whose been cavorting all over America with boyfriend John Mayer, isn’t quite ready to pump out little Jesses. She’s going to get herself, as Adams puts it so delicately, “another designer kid.”
