In spite of all the bad media hype going on around her, country singer/ actress, Jessica Simpson remains to a beautiful style and fashion icon for women online.

Jessica was named as February’s Best Tressed 2009! According to BeatyRiot.com, “a web site for women seeking solutions to beauty questions,” the Pray Out Loud singer’s hairstyle was viewed the most times by the site visitors, compared to all the other celebrity hairstyles during the month of February. The pop-turned-country singer’s beauty and hairstyle pics are published on the site, along with 170 other popular female celebrity.

Although Jess’s recent appearances were quit limited to live musical performances (most of them as the opening act for country music band, Rascal Flatts), that did not stop the female population of the web, to seek out her hairstyle. Nicole Richie, January’s Best Tressed and new mom to daughter, Harlow Winter, came in at second place, while Kimberly Caldwell of “American Idol”, ranked in at third.

So, are you wondering why Jess’s style is most viewed by the BeatyRiot.com visitors? The site’s editor-in-chief, Kirsten Lambersten, gives us the answer:

So the girl gained weight! So what? Everyone is entitled to a weight binge every once in a while. What matters is that Jess has remained strong and beautiful through the ordeal.

Ashlee Simpson is seeing red and is on the warpath, so Jess-bashers, beware!

Responding to the overblown media coverage on her “big” sister, Jessica Simpson, new mom Ash, has gone to her blog to air out her frustration and disgust over something she sees as trivial.

This just proves to show that family will always be family, whatever happens, and that they’re the first to write anger- filled blogs in your defense. Kudos to baby sis, Ashlee!

And talking about family, Ash’s husband, rocker Pete Wentz proves that he is indeed part of the Simpson family when he also defended her sister-in-law in an interview with Extra, from the NFL Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash in Tampa, Florida the following day:

“I think that the media puts too harsh of a spotlight on women in general, and I think it’s a bummer,” he adds, “It’s bad for young women. I see it affecting young girls who come to our shows, and that’s a bummer.”

“Real beauty is on the inside, man.” Amen, Pete.

Want to have hair like Jessica Simpson’s? Well, I think you might want to think that over…

It seems that country singer/ actress Jessica Simpson, is a tad bit too obedient when hair stylist to the stars, Ken Paves, suggested to limit her shampoo treatments for her hair to two or three times a month. Ken, who has worked with countless of stars and is responsible for many a luxurious locks, may need to re-think his advice for the Come on Over crooner.

“Jessica’s tresses are often greasy, but she hides it well. She wears a heat or reaches for the Hairdo, the clip-on extension line she created with Ken,” revealed an insider in the January 19 edition of Star Magazine.

And what does she do when her hair starts to smell weird? Well, she “sprintzes” it with perfume. I just hope that she’s using her Fancy perfume, in that way, she still gets to patronize her own product. Oh well.

Recession? What recession?

With the onslaught of costly surgical operations going on, one will have to wonder if there indeed is a recession plaguing the nation. Dr. Alan Freedman, Bellevue Medical Center’s renowned reconstructive surgeon, revealed to the New York Post that despite the worldwide financial and economic crisis, he did not fall short of clients who want chests like Private Valentine star Jessica’s or a reconstructed nose like Outta My Head hitmaker Ashlee’s.

This just proves to show that beauty can now be created under a skilled surgeon’s hands, instead of leaving it to the whim of nature and the complexity of genetic inheritance. A recent survey says that kids are willing to go under the knife because of the desire to have the incredible body parts that their favorite celebrities have.

Call it the incredible influence of TV and movies (and the entire media as a whole) on our generation, but more and more kids are willing to undergo surgery just to look like the actors and actresses that they see on screen, According to the survey, the most requested are: Angelina Jolie’s pouty, kissable lips, Jessica Simpson’s big yet shapely cleavage, and Ashlee Simpson’s perfectly reconstructed nose.

But it’s actually also a fact that more and more celebrities have gone under the knife themselves to enhance their looks and to look significantly younger. Jennifer Aniston and Ashlee, who have both changed their looks with a nose job, have essentially encouraged fans to do the same to attain their preferred look. Even botox had become a huge hit! What, with the likes of Meg Ryan and Nicole Kidman, and Brittany Murphy, who have been plumping their faces with the treatment, which then gave their fans the incentives to try the treatment for themselves too.
