Ok, poor Ashlee Simpson has rumors flying everywhere at the moment about her. Here’s another one. She might be engaged to Pete Wentz!

Nothing’s been confirmed, so hold off on having your head explode for now, but sources tell Pop Crunch that Wentz proposed to Simpson backstage at Live Earth before he performed with his Fall Out Boy bandmates. “Ashlee wasn’t expecting it at all; it was a total surprise,” says the source. “Pete whipped out a big engagement ring, dropped down on one knee and asked Ashlee to be his bride. Ashlee says it was romantic, sexy - and that she said ‘yes’ right away.”

“Ashlee and Pete are desperate to keep the engagement quiet for as long as they can so they can make wedding plans in peace,” says a pal of Ashlee’s. “All she wants is a simple ceremony with her family, his family and a handful of people.”

We just learned that Ashlee’s short vacation last week over the Fourth of July holiday was spent with boyfriend Pete Wentz in Cabo San Lucas. Let’s hope the weekend refreshed her - because she has a ton of work to do on her smokin’ hot new album!

Ashlee was photographed multiple times over by the paparazzi on July 4th. Apparently, Ashlee and Pete were on their way to a romantic vacation for the long Independence Day weekend. No word yet on where they’re headed, but we’re sure to find out soon!

Ashlee Simpson romped with boyfriend Pete Wentz in the bathroom of his new bar, it has been claimed.

Ashlee Simpson romped with boyfriend Pete Wentz in the bathroom of his new bar, it has been claimed.

The ‘Fall Out Boy’ frontman, who celebrated his 28th birthday party at his newly opened New York hangout Angels and Kings on Tuesday night (05.06.07), reportedly entered a bathroom cubicle with Ashlee for a steamy session.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: “Ashlee and Pete got a VIP escort to the bathroom and jumped the queue.

“Pete joked, ‘We’re going to puke. Seriously, we’re both going to be really sick’ as they pushed to the front of the queue.

“They went in together and everyone waited patiently. They were in there for a good 10 minutes.”
Ashlee bought her man a very special gift to mark the occasion.

Pete said: “Ashlee got me a Revenge of the Jedi poster. I’m kinky and it’s like, in Star Wars originally ‘Return of the Jedi’ was called Revenge of the Jedi, and then George Lucas decided that revenge was not a Jedi-like trait.

“So she bought it for me. I think it’s sweet. It’s awesome.”

The rocker and friends Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travis McCoy and Yellow Fever clothing designer Jamison Ernest opened the bar in April.

Pete said at the launch party: “It will be a bit of a dive, which we need. We finally have a place where all our loser friends can hang out!

Ernest added: “This will be a place that anyone can go and have sex in the bathroom and not get in trouble.”

Remember the good old days when Jessica and Ashlee Simpson were best friends? Like the hair colors they’re now sporting and the guys they are seeing, the relationship between the once-close siblings is no longer what it used to be. While their reps insist the sisters are still close, a tsunami seems to be building.

“There’s certainly a sibling rivalry between them,” a source close to the two tells Star. The trouble began, says another insider when Jess’s boyfriend, John Mayer, pointed to a glamorous magazine photo and asked Jess, “How old is this picture of you?” But-whoops!-it was a shot of Ashlee! “Jessica read John the riot act,” says our source. “He definitely touched a nerve.”

Her sensitivity on the subject seems to be the direct result of Ashlee’s emergence as a sex kitten, a role once owned by Jessica. That Ashlee has become the hot blonde – a transformation that came courtesy of a surgeon’s knife, a bottle of peroxide and dramatic weight loss- is troubling to Jessica, who has morphed into a buxom and sometimes frumpy brunette due to a dye job and about 20 extra pounds. “Jessica hears the catty talk about how Ashlee looks like her- from two years ago,” says the source. “It totally bothers her.”

In a recent Cosmo interview Ashlee Simpson has been reaffirming her self-confidence in respect to her image. According to the interview:

“I feel very confident with the way I look,” the 22-year-old singer says in Cosmopolitan magazine’s June issue, on newsstands Tuesday. “But I felt just as confident the way I looked before. I’ve always been confident with who I am.”

She also mentioned what type of guys she is usually attracted to:

“It’s really hard for me to like Hollywood-type guys,” she says. “I like guys who are relaxed and chill and who think I’m sexy no matter what I do. And I like guys who are into surfing. They’re cute and seem more laid-back, and I’m a pretty laid-back person.”

I love how celebrities come out and express their “confidence” with their self image after they go and get plastic surgery. As far as the guys she is attracted to, she forgot to mention that one other requirement is that the guy must be a bass player in a pop band who wears tighter jeans than she does.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz has opened a New York bar where people can have sex in the toilets.

The singer - who is currently dating Ashlee Simpson - has launched Angels and Kings in the East village with friends Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travis McCoy and Yellow Fever clothing designer Jamison Ernest which he wants to be “a dive for losers”. Wentz said: “It will be a bit of a dive, which we need. We finally have a place where all our loser friends can hang out!

“We’d had enough of all the pretentious clubs with strict door policies which feel uptight when you finally get in.”We really just want someplace where we can hang out and be ourselves. I want to be like any other regular and drink umbrella cocktails.” Ernest added to the New York Post newspaper: “This will be a place that anyone can go and have sex in the bathroom and not get in trouble.”

Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson held hands as they left Club Element last night. Leaving no question about the status of their relationship, the pair have been seen all over Hollywood holding hands and cuddling close.

I’m curious whether it is a coincidence that Pete’s t-shirt is the same color as Ashlee’s shoes - or did they plan that? What do you think?

Ashlee Simpson was spotted at LAX with boyfriend Pete Wentz. A few hours later the starlet was spotted in NYC.

Ashlee Simpson actually seperated from her suddenly inseperable boyfriend for a few minutes as she did the red carpet at the Grand Opening of Runway Night Club in NYC, which she hosted with model May Anderson.

Well, no…not that.

The on-again, off-again couple were spotted holding hands. In front of the cameras!

Ken Paves, the unequivocal king of pageant queen hair, worked his magic on Ashlee Simpson over the weekend. After nearly two hours of washing, cutting, styling and repeating, the entrepreneurial hair stylist’s masterpiece was finally complete.

With her honey blonde extensions sewed on tight (Hair U Wear brand, we’re sure), the plasticized pop singer was all smiles as she made her merry little way back to her car.

Asked whether her new ‘do was to impress her rumuored new beau, Chad Hugo of Neptunes fame, Ashlee merely replied with a giggle and a roll of the eyes. Meanwhile, reps for the 22-year-old poptart had this to say: “That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on.”

(Uh huh…sure…we’ve all heard that one before.)

Ashlee Simpson is taking her breakup with Pete Wentz in stride. The younger Simpson sister went to Les Deux in L.A. Saturday night and picked up Chad Hugo from the Neptunes, spies said. “She tried to pick up Ryan Phillipe, but he wasn’t interested. So then she hung out with Chad all night and left with him.”

Ashlee’s rep fumed, “That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on.”

Hopefully Ashlee Simpson doesn’t read Blender magazine, or doesn’t have a problem with her rumored boyfriend kissing everyone.

The bassist for “Fall Out Boy,” Pete Wentz, has revealed in an interview that he will kiss anyone, no matter what their gender is.

When asked if he has kissed a man, the musician replied, “I have. Anybody above the waist is fair game.”

Wentz, who has been spotted with Simpson on a variety of occasions in Los Angeles, also talked about his sex life.

He revealed, “When I’m with somebody, the caveman in me wants it to be completely deviant. Like, ‘Oh this isn’t supposed to go in there? Then that’s where it has to go.’”

Let’s hope Daddy Joe Simpson doesn’t read this.
