Ashlee’s take on her post-baby body, Bronx, and Fall Out Boy
New mom, Ashlee Simpson, made her first public appearance last Monday since giving birth to Bronx Mowgli. She went out to watch her husband, Pete Wentz, perform with his band, Fall Out Boy. Wearing a coat to hide her post-baby body, she popped by the West Hollywood Troubadour Club to support her husband.
When asked about her new post-baby body, Ashlee said that she didn’t mind that she gained weight, and even said that her doctor told her she was “right on target” with her weight gain.
“My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about,” she said. “I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.”
“People who judge pregnant women’s weight need to get a life.”
In her MySpace blog the following Tuesday, she raved about her outing and the band’s performance by writing: “I finally left the house for Fall Out Boy’s show on Monday night, which was so good. Their new songs sound awesome live, I can’t wait for their new record!”
“It’s amazing to see how many artistic outlets those boys have! Made me very proud. It was an awesome show and so many of our friends and family came out to support,” she added.
In the same blog, she also writes about being a mom to baby Bronx Mowgli. : “Motherhood is the most fantastic experience I have ever been thru. Bronx makes me laugh and smile everyday!”
