Ashlee Simpson’s husband may be called a lot of negative things, like douchebag for instance, but I have to credit him for being loyal to his friends.

After a blog announcement about Fall Out Boy’s schedule for their tour with Metro Station, which says:

“i am most excited to announce “believers never die (part deux)” finally back to where we were, back in the united states this spring- i am not sure when we will be back so if we come out near you come hang out. we will be playing mid sized venues. but we want to bring the biggest show possible. so if you get the chance please call in to your local radio station and request “america’s suitehearts”. every single call and voice helps us….. let us know where you want to see us”

A lot of negative responses have been flowing in, most of which are commenting about the Metro’s lack of a name. But FOB bassist and Bronx’s daddy, Pete Wentz, made a swift retribution for the band, and justified why they chose them as part of the tour, by posting another entry during the following days, which read:

“the response to the tour announcement has been positive for the most part. but i would like to say to those who are hating… this is fall out boy paying it forward. the first time a lot of people heard about fob was from when allister, punchline, blink182, or less than jake took us on tour. i am sure a lot of their fans had a similar reaction to the new band. but honestly all of those bands had our backs and i think it gave us the chance to try and win over some new fans. in this case i have seen these bands live or had conversations with all of them. they are hungry. they are positive kids and who knows one or all of them will end up in the same spot in a couple of years. i really appreciate the chance to take them out- play to some of their fans and let them play to some of ours. the thing i have always appreciated about fall out boy fans is how you guys have been to bands we have brought on tour from gym class heroes to having keith from ETID sing “walk” with us. we appreciate that tolerance.”

Awwww… And here some people thought that Pete was all-bad. Someone give him a medal for loyalty or sticking up to his friends, I for one, think he deserves it.
