Before you get fired up about Jessica Simpson dressed as a french maid, you should take a closer look. The figure photographed looks like Jessica, but it’s really a wax statue.

This lifelike Jessica Simpson wax-work was revealed at the 2007 Daily Mail Ideal Home Show on Opening Day, where British celebrity chef Ainsley Harriot was photographed posing with the statue.

Jessica Simpson and John Mayer spotted walking hand in hand in Rome, Italy this afternoon where they are on currently vacationing together.

The couple arrived at the Leonardo da Vinci Airport this morning and were then driven by van to their hotel, which is in the center of town.

Later on, Mayer and Simpson lingered over a romantic lunch at famed restaurant “Dal Bolognese,” for more than two hours, before doing some sightseeing on foot.

Creepy daddy Joe Simpson has gone on record claiming his daughters will never end up in rehab like fellow has-been Britney Spears.

Joe — father, manager, origin of all future therapy bills of celebri-thingys Jessica and Ashlee Simpson — has spoken out on Britney’s recent personal and professional woes, which have culminated in a rehab stint, the World Entertainment News Network reports.

While feeling empathy for Brit, Joe believes his daughters would never follow the same toxic path as Spears.

He says, “I would never let that happen to my daughters. Hopefully, her family will take care of the situation.”

For a long time, Jess’ blonde locks have nearly been a trademark look. But since she’s mixed it up and gone darker, I’m starting to fall in love with her all over again!

I think Jessica Simpson looks great both as a blonde and as a brunette - either way, she’s smokin’ hot!

Ashlee Simpson is taking her breakup with Pete Wentz in stride. The younger Simpson sister went to Les Deux in L.A. Saturday night and picked up Chad Hugo from the Neptunes, spies said. “She tried to pick up Ryan Phillipe, but he wasn’t interested. So then she hung out with Chad all night and left with him.”

Ashlee’s rep fumed, “That is not true. She is working with Chad on her new album. There is nothing romantic going on.”

Jess is still in New York City (with her dog, Daisy) filming Blonde Ambition. We’ve got a ton more stills from the movie, though I’m a little confused because the last stills showed her with a big blonde bob. Now her wig is still big and blonde, but it’s long. Maybe she’s filming a section of the movie that is supposed to occur a couple years later? Let’s hope!

Last Wednesday, February 28, 2007, John Mayer held a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City - and guess who came along to keep him company? Jessica Simpson (and her micro-managing father, Joe).

After the concert Jess & John headed to an after party at NYC hotspot Stereo, where it looks like rounds and rounds of drinks were collecting on their table! (See pics after the jump!)

Jessica is in New York City filming Blonde Ambition, which is slated to come out sometime during 2007. According to IMDB.com, the movie is about a young professional woman (Jessica Simpson) who unwittingly becomes the pawn of two business executives in their bid to oust the head of a mega-conglomerate.

Jessica Simpson has been spotted driving her dog, Daisy, around Los Angeles. This is the same dog that Nick gave her onstage as a gift a few years ago (Daisy was a puppy at that time).
