Ashlee Simpson has waged a devastating underhanded attack on her sister Jessica, claiming she’s prettier than her!

The cosmetically enhanced poplette has declared in a newspaper interview that she’s more attractive than Jessica because her body is better proportioned.

She tells the Daily Record: “I’m taller than she is and my legs are longer than hers. I got lucky because my chest size isn’t completely massive.”

John Mayer is no longer talking in code - or Japanese - when he is asked about Jessica Simpson. The couple, who have been traveling together on Mayer’s national tour, are officially an item after months of speculation - and the singer/songwriter is happy about it.

The “Your Body Is A Wonderland” singer told Time Out New York magazine, “I’m having the best time of my life, so if the names don’t make sense to people, that’s so small to me.” The shaggy haired singer, who has managed to capture the heart of one of Hollywood’s most eligible bachelorettes, denies that he denied he is dating the pop star. He said, “I don’t think I’ve ever denied it. When did I deny it?”

Ashlee Simpson is telling friends that she is so eager to launch an acting career that she wants to give up singing to concentrate on it full-time.

“She wanted so badly to play Meryl Streep’s daughter in the film version of the musical Mamma Mia!, but she had to pass up the chance because she’s contractually committed to getting another album out,” a source tells Star.

Why do you think Ashlee is so eager to launch an acting career? I’m wondering whether it’s because actors make so much more money…

In a surprise move, Jessica Simpson has spread a little cheer to a small orphanage in Mexico.

After recently winnning a Chrysler Crossfire sports car at a swag suite at the MTV’s Video Music Awards last year, she exchanged it for a minivan and got in touch with the Casa Hogar Elim orphanage in Nuevo Laredo to see whether they could use it.

‘”Mama Lupita said, ‘We have no transportation at all. Of course we could use it.’ So then she was told that she was getting a brand new eight-passenger van from Jessica Simpson for the orphanage.” Adds the source: “She started to cry for three minutes straight and then said, ‘I can’t wait to give Jessica a big hug.’ “‘

On Tuesday night (Feb 20), John Mayer played a concert in Chicago. His lovely lady, Jessica Simpson, was there grooving to his music!

They stopped for a photo op, and I absolutely adore this pic of them. While I’m not a huge fan of John (in comparison to NICK! and, yes, I will continue beat this dead horse), I think they look great here.

Jessica Simpson, a spokesperson for Pizza Hut, recently confessed to Elle magazine that she is in fact allergic to cheese.

Jessica went to an allergist when she felt upset after eating a meal and was told by her doctor that she is allergic to most of the ingredients of a pizza; cheese, tomatoes, wheat and also hot pepper.

Jess was also told to avoid coffee, chocolate and corn. (Chocolate? I couldn’t avoid it!)

In a commercial, which premiered during the Super Bowl, Jessica promoted the Pizza Hut food chain and was seen cooing over a slice of pepperoni pizza with cheese-filled crust.

(I would be cooing over all that gooey, creamy cheese, too - yum!)

Hopefully Ashlee Simpson doesn’t read Blender magazine, or doesn’t have a problem with her rumored boyfriend kissing everyone.

The bassist for “Fall Out Boy,” Pete Wentz, has revealed in an interview that he will kiss anyone, no matter what their gender is.

When asked if he has kissed a man, the musician replied, “I have. Anybody above the waist is fair game.”

Wentz, who has been spotted with Simpson on a variety of occasions in Los Angeles, also talked about his sex life.

He revealed, “When I’m with somebody, the caveman in me wants it to be completely deviant. Like, ‘Oh this isn’t supposed to go in there? Then that’s where it has to go.’”

Let’s hope Daddy Joe Simpson doesn’t read this.

If you’ve been wondering what prompted blonde bombshell Jessica Simpson to go dark, you’re not alone.

Jessica’s hair stylist and close friend, Ken Paves, gave PEOPLE the scoop behind her bold new look. After a day spent lounging by the pool together, the two came inside and started playing with extensions from their HairDo line.

Jessica asked Ken, “‘What do you have in there that’s red?” Ken clipped a piece into her hair and Jessica said, “I want to leave this on! I want to wear it out.” She did just that, to great effect (the front part of her hair was sprayed with temporary color to match the extensions).

Jessica loved the change so much that the next morning, she asked Ken to make it permanent, saying she “felt more like herself.”

As for the rumors that Jessica went dark for new boyfriend John Mayer’s benefit, Ken scoffs at the idea. “It just happened. She had no intention of coloring her hair. This was done on a whim — two friends horsing around and playing dress up. A woman doesn’t have to be doing it for somebody. Sometimes it just happens.”

Double Grammy winner John Mayer was in a gregarious mood on Sunday night (February 11), where he and his fans congregated in a pink-hued outdoor cabana at the Sony/BMG post-Grammy party at the Beverly Hills Hotel.

The most enthusiastic buzz occurred when Mayer excitedly greeted girlfriend Jessica Simpson, now a brunette, with a bear hug and lip lock, as daddy Joe and sister Ashlee watched. But the excited buzz wasn’t over the liplock. It was over Daddy Joe’s ability to not interfere, the way he did when Jess and Nick were together.
